2020s: The Rise of the Giants I thought it was difficult having three children but four bunnies... and two of them Flemish giants? Not enough food in the house! And it's been a while but with the Coronavirus, it's time to reboot the blog. It's time for us to update everyone on nine living creatures at the same house for over a month...

Waffles and Other Things
So Fathers Day has come and passed but not before Daddy busted out some tasty waffles for the big day. Somehow the Erb tradition started when Aunt Pat coerced Grampa to fix waffles many years ago on a June Sunday morning. Gramma said it wasn't right as he's supposed to have the day off but Pat posited that was the day he needed to prove his "Dad-ness."
Many years later hopefully Daddy has proved his "Dad-ness" as well. Of course everyone would need to ask Mary Jane and Betsy Jo but they really don't have much of a say yet. Not to say that Mary Jane can't talk (oh, she can!) but she doesn't have the profundity yet to question Daddy's role in the great holiday known as Fathers Day.
Sometimes you might have to go to an outside source... say... a mule deer in Grand Canyon Park. He seemed innocent enough. Of course this picture was taken before the births of Mary Jane and Betsy Jo but what you don't see in this picture is the deer saying, "What's up there, Daddy-O?" Foretelling the future? Hmm... methinks so.
Anyway, Daddy is looking forward to a roadtrip next week. Many pics to come.

Someone Else Spotted with Mr. John's Lion Shirt
Last week in the Thrifty... er, SavOn... er, CVS, Mr. John saw someone else wearing his lion shirt as seen over there on the right. It's a special type of shirt -- Miss Jill explained it to him once when someone else inquired -- but he forgot to read that memo (he's not good at reading memos). So he thought like the highlander and knew that there could be only one (as you of course know, the Highlander is a documentary as said by Master Shake). Mister John has not summarily yakka'd this shirted impostor yet but he will. Oh, yes he will.
Meanwhile check out that Grand Canyon over there. Marvelous. Later in the day Saaby got stuck. Poor girl but she got better.
Anyway, back to your previously scheduled programming. Mister John and Miss Jill are dressing up tonight. And yes, they will feed the bunnies before they leave. If any blog post occurs during the evening, it is clearly a misguided fraud.

Back after the Summer Respite
Sorry for the delays.
School has begun again for Mr. Erb and the WOME is happily back to her wedding planner ways.
In August she and I went to the Grand Canyon and hiked all around it. No pics currently but I do believe she downloaded some. As soon as I get some of those, I shall put them on the site. Furthermore we trekked through many a mudpile at 7,000 feet above sea level. Odd thing about Arizona: they receive all their rain in August. Especially northern Arizona. It just came down everywhere!
Later on we did make it to Sedona for a good ol' fashioned jeep ride amidst the relaxation there. Nothing like having not a care in the world and just watching random Olympic events and worrying about what you'll have with your dinner.
Alas, it is school time again for me so the sophomoric minions are back. They seem to be a nice lot this year but we'll see. Hopefully none of them thump like my rabbits. Oh, those rabbits!!! I'll save that for another post.
Until then.
