There's nothing like having good help and here's a good example of it. Mary Jane and Betsy Jo helped their daddy rake leaves earlier in the week. True, their purpose was self-serving: they wanted to jump up and down into the pile of leaves. But they and Daddy all busted out their leaf utensils and worked hard for a few minutes before giving into the temptation of flopping into a pile of leaves or jumping up and down in them like they were muddy puddles.
Dog walker and mothers in strollers all just had to smile. There's nothing like the pure unmitigated joy in watching two girls frolic in a pile of leaves. And this being Los Angeles in March... who knows when those leaves will return for another stomping.
2020s: The Rise of the Giants I thought it was difficult having three children but four bunnies... and two of them Flemish giants? Not enough food in the house! And it's been a while but with the Coronavirus, it's time to reboot the blog. It's time for us to update everyone on nine living creatures at the same house for over a month...

Voting Day?
Ever have an Election Day and no one showed up to vote? Well, welcome to Los Angeles. Not that really any of us cared... after eight years of Villaraigosa who turned his head toward every TV camera (and female newsperson), the bar has been set very low.
And no more phone calls about the local LAUSD race. I don't mean to sound... hmm... elitist... but my girls will go to private school. I don't care about the LAUSD race.

Doing the Dog Dance
Upon our walk a few days ago over at the Airport Park, we passed by the dog park that is there. You know, that's the park that originally allowed only Santa Monica dogs inside. Nevermind that all Santa Monica residents have to drive to the park and Los Angeles (re: Mar Vista) residents could actually walk there. Ah, Santa Monica being Santa Monica. But this isn't a rant about the evils of Santa Monica... or is it?
Anyway, Mary Jane watched some dogs and she then busted out into a dog dance. Quite a classic to watch.

Was That a Bugg Butt? (no, another kind)
Root Beer Float headbutted her sister today to get at some tasty greens. She didn't think that anyone was watching but Mister John gets home earlier now from summer school and watched this incident underneath the orange tree. She headbutted her a second time as well. Usually her sister Ruby Jane is the assertive one but maybe it's RBF's turn to lay down the backyard law.None of the bunnies look forward to Independence Day. Well, first of all, they do not get any independence (which will be added in a later blog). Secondly, all the noise in the neighborhood from neighbor's illegal fireworks (always illegal in LA but can be bought in Culver City) startle them just a tad.
