Another Sunday

Nothing like a perfect Sunday for weather.  Yes, that whole change of time thing can be bothersome... luckily for the children, they didn't know the difference.

In this picture, the girls learn that what goes up must come down.  They love the toy crocodile.

Here little Jack is relaxing on the smooth carpet at the Well Baby Center.  Almost no one showed up for class today -- must have been the change of time blues -- but all three of our children were there.  Jack was actually quite transfixed by the music.  Betsy Jo and Mary Jane know the songs well enough to... well, ignore them at times.  But for Jack it was one big noise fest for him.
Betsy Jo and Jack are hanging out on the couch together in the early afternoon.  Betsy had just previously said that she didn't need a nap.  Well, I think I could state that she needs one... but Jack didn't mind her being there.  He absolutely loves it when she comes over and calls him "Goo-Goo."
Here is a better family pic of the three.  Everyone look at the camera and smile!  Happy Sunday for all... especially that they know Mommy will be back tomorrow.

Sunday in the Park

Mary Jane and Betsy went to Airport Park this morning with some other pint-sized friends of theirs.  Nothing like playing on the swing.  OK, maybe eating lots of strawberries too.

Mary Jane Rolls for the Camera

Mr. John, aka Daddy, was taping Mary Jane in the back yard when she quickly flipped as he was about ready to press the record button. Yes, life never happens exactly at the time you want it to... especially with camera in hand. However, she then amazingly rolled back over in defiance of the original flip. Technically, Mary Jane's first recorded flip was on a Thursday afternoon but is often reluctant to repeat a command performance.

But there is a method to the madness. Every time Mary Jane starts to talk relentlessly, that represents a rise in her energy and then... WHOOOOP! She rolls over.

Alas, the bunnies were not impressed. Until Mary Jane stretches out and yawns, they have no further interest in the future leader of the back yard.

Chip Says He'll Behave Today

Chip wants to run about in the back yard with his older sisters but that always ends up in a fight. Today he says he will behave and those persnickety older curmudgeons should act their age too. For some reason, Miss Jill and Mister John will still not allow him access to the backyard on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Cherry Bugg flops in her newly cleaned cage.

Sunday with the Rabbits

While Miss Jill was away -- typically staying away from the bunnies -- Mister John vainly attempted to use the good camera to take some photos of the bunnies in action (or inaction, as the case may be). Sadly, his camera shooting is fair at best. The deleted photo of Gidget was much too bright as he needs how to figure out how to: a) zoom, b) use light better. For those of you NOT in the know, Gidget (aka the Surfwagon) was the previously used Volvo purchased by John and Jill Erb. Gidget has run quite well since her purchase in October. But Gidget shall get her own blog entry later: this one is for the bunnies.

The trio of terror were out and about in the backyard. That means Phillip, Ruby Jane, and Root Beer Float were outside. Typically Cherry Bugg has Saturdays to herself and these three have Sundays. It goes back to Sunday being Jane's day. And by decree, even after her passing, her husband has first right of hopping on Sunday.

This means that they sprint about the back yard for a good fifteen minutes at the start of their day. Then a few hours of idling. Typically, they'll just sit under a tree and either read poetry or eat it if it's tasty enough. Phillip goes up and down to his cage often to use the privy. Meanwhile Cherry Bugg just sits there and stares at them like an angry teenager who was grounded for not doing their homework and sticking their tongue out at other people.

Finally, Chip sits in the den pondering his existence as well. He spends much of the day sitting in his cage and staring at the wall. According to Chip, that is how Socrates became so wise. Just staring at the wall. Upon being told about Plato and his discourse about the man in the cave, Chip replied, "Huh?" That's ok, Chippers. One Greek philosopher at a time.
