Proof of Betsy's Swimworthiness

Yes, Betsy likes to swim as well.  For now it's more like bob along in the water but that's a big deal.  So many babies at that age hate the water.  Heck, so many of my sophomores probably do as well.

Aquaboo!

Nothing like a little Water Peekaboo to make your day a bit more blissful.  Mary Jane had not been in a swimming pool since last August so it was a joyous occasion for her.  Get into a floatie at Aunt Lisa's and Uncle Greg's pool and have some fun with Mommy.

Not to worry, Betsy had a great time too in her first time in a pool.  Luckily for the two of them, they will be taking swimming classes this summer.  Fun for everyone!

And Daddy likes to cool down in the hot summer sun as well.

Baths Are Fun!!!

At least that's what Mary Jane says.  Now anytime in the afternoon, her favorite word is "Bath."  She knows it's coming at some point in the late afternoon.  The only problem for Mary Jane is that it comes right before she goes to bed.  Subsequently when Daddy picks her up with his towel, that means it's dressing-for-bed time and she screams in disapproval. 

Oh, she can't wait to go swimming again this summer.  Bring on those swimming classes at LMU again!

Thunderstorm Keeps Mary Jane form Prolonged Swim

Mary Jane is on her swim-a-day vacation as she splashed about in the Munds Park pool for about ten minutes. Unfortunately the weather got just a bit dark and nasty as large thunderclouds came overhead with lightning strikes. So Mommy, Daddy, and Mary Jane all fled the pool but they were in it long enough to show off their swimming strokes to Gramma and Grampa Kendall. Well, Daddy doesn't have great swimming strokes but that's never stopped him.

Earlier in the day Mary Jane decided to skip a nap and go straight to her 1pm bottle at noon. But the swim and a busy afternoon allowed her a ninety minute nap. Yay for Mary Jane!

Happy after Another Swim

Mary Jane was a bit concerned about the dunking part but other than that, she was a very pleasant girl. Daddy was quite pleased on such a humid morning to get back into the pool. Splash about!

Daddy later took Mary Jane for a three mile run during cross country practice.

Now at 7:30 Mary Jane is asleep and Daddy awoke from a short nap. Good for him!

Happy Girl Swims on the Fourth

Mary Jane has a new profound love for swimming. After taking two classes in the past week, she swam like a fish out at her Aunt Lisa's this past week. Nevermind the 116 degree temperatures, Mary Jane was a swimming fiend! Nothing quite like a big smile as she kicked and splashed her way around the pool. Mommy and Daddy were quite happy as well.

Mary Jane begged to go swimming today so Mommy and Daddy decided to head over to the LMU pool and give her another chance. Oh, such a lovely splashing girl. Mommy swam with her everywhere; Daddy was working on his tan. It's a bit farmer-like so he needs to even it out.
